People search for a WhatsApp Gold APK, but there is no trustworthy app by that name.
The hoax
Since around 2016, chain messages have claimed WhatsApp Gold is an exclusive upgrade. Links in those messages have led to malware and phishing pages.
What to do
- Do not download any file called WhatsApp Gold.
- Do not forward the chain message.
- If you installed something, uninstall it and scan your phone.
